These terms help us create safe, thoughtful journeys across Tanzania. By booking with Ascent Wild Safaris, you agree to the conditions below.
1. Your booking
Your safari or mountain journey is confirmed once we receive your booking details and a 30% deposit. The remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival in Tanzania. Prices are quoted in US dollars per person and include only the services listed in your personalised itinerary. Nothing is charged through this website; payments are arranged securely with our office by bank transfer or card link.
2. Cancellations & changes
Cancellations received more than 60 days before departure are refunded in full minus bank charges. Between 60 and 30 days, the deposit is retained; within 30 days, cancellation fees follow the terms of the camps, lodges, airlines and parks involved. Weather, park authority decisions, wildlife conditions or flight disruptions may require a change of route or accommodation. Your safety comes first, and we will always offer the best available alternative.
3. Tanzania travel & safety
Tanzania is wonderfully wild and travel can involve uneven roads, remote areas, changing weather and close encounters with wildlife. Every guest must hold comprehensive travel insurance covering medical care, cancellation and emergency evacuation. Kilimanjaro guests also need high-altitude trekking cover up to 6,000 m. Guests must follow guide and park instructions and participate at their own considered risk.
4. Respect for people, wildlife & place
We follow responsible tourism principles and Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project guidelines: maximum 15 kg loads, proper equipment and fair, on-time pay. Please pack thoughtfully, respect local customs and communities, never feed or approach wildlife, and leave Tanzania as you found it. Our team may end an activity if conduct puts people, animals or the environment at risk.
5. A shared promise
We will communicate honestly, look after you with care and do our best to make every day memorable. You agree to provide accurate medical and travel information, arrive with the documents and visas required for Tanzania, and tell our team about any change that may affect your journey.
